CranioSacral Therapy

Craniosacral is a gentle effective therapy that works with our inherent health to facilitate well being. It is both gentle and safe for babies, children and adults, and suitable for most conditions.

Craniosacral therapy works with the natural rhythms and motions of the body. Restrictions in the body’s tissues can be sensed by the therapist and natural ‘motion’ and health is restored to areas where it was previously lost, bringing inherent vitality back to the area.

Unresolved physical and emotional patterns from life experiences can restrict natural, healthy motion within the body, which may later manifest in the symptoms we experience, such as pain, health conditions, and reduced vitality.

Craniosacral Therapy enables you to reconnect with yourself by helping to create the right conditions for health and wellbeing. It may also have wider implications physically, emotionally and spiritually. As well as enhanced health, energy levels and a shift in symptoms, many clients comment that they are more aware of themselves internally and their surroundings, and some experience profound shifts in themselves and how they relate to the world.

What Can I Expect From a Session?

A typical CranioSacral Therapy session takes place in a quiet, private setting. You remain fully clothed as you relax on a comfortable table.

The treatment begins by gently touching various parts of your body to monitor the rhythm of the fluid that is flowing around your central nervous system.

By carefully listening with the hands to locate areas of weak fluid flow or tissue motion, therapist can trace those areas of weakness through the body to the original source of dysfuction.

Delicate manual techniques are then used to release those problem areas and improve the form and function of your nervous system.

A treatment can last up to an hour or more. It can be used alone or integrated with other therapies to create powerful effects.
What you experience from your own session is highly individual. The sessions are generally deeply relaxing, creating feelings of warmth or gentle pulsing in the areas the therapist is working on.
